Live Your Life

So this being my very first blog, I thought I'd start with what's going on right now....

Living in Chico is literally like living in an igloo. All you wanna do is bundle up and snuggle with someone.

Finals are almost finished for the students, and not being a student myself I guess I don't completely understand why they are all so stressed out. I mean, come on...If you wanna party all the time and let dust settle on your books, you just might have a slight case of, "Wow, do I still have any brain cells left?"

The reason I even bring this to everyone's attention, is because it has affected me in a way that I never thought possible. My gorgeous, thoughtful, loving boyfriend of 3yrs has suddenly turned into, what I refer to as, The Monster From Hell.

I actually had to drive 2.5hrs away to my Mom's house to give him some "space" to study. Living in my own house proved to be absolutely too much for him to handle. This included; no phone calls and no text. OK, I can deal with that...it's been 2 weeks and it's so hard to NOT pick up the phone to hear that voice every day. Fortunately he did call me every once in awhile...and it was like convincing someone, "DON'T JUMP!"

Ok, I'm being a little dramatic here. But fellas, I know you think you are calm, collected manly men...and women are just a hot mess. EVERYONE GETS STRESSED! That does not give you the right to take it out on the people you love and treat them like the hobo on the corner.

What I've learned is, everyone is so completely different, yet everyone acts like whinny babies at one point or another. We need to take a couple of deep breaths and ask ourselves, "Is it worth it?"

Is it worth it to say something that we know will badly hurt someone? Will we feel better?

Or is it worth it to say, "I love you." Even if you're so pissed off you have steam coming out your ears.

I know one thing for sure....It's always worth it to take a few breaths before you say something. Because it's the difference between feeling like dirt or feeling like you're on top of the world.

That is all...for now
